Brinly recommends that the hamper be at least 5 inches off the ground. When operating, you want your tow arms to be level to the ground. Once you have leveled the tow bars using the hitch plate, you will need to level the hamper. To level the hamper, find the 4 bolts securing the hamper stop assembly. They should be located at the rear of brush housing assembly. First, loosen. Then move the cross tube UP to raise the hamper or move cross tube DOWN to lower the hamper.

The Brinly lawn sweeper can effectively pick up a variety of debris from your lawn. However, optimal pickup depends on your how you set the unit and if the lawn has been dethatched recently. For example, this unit will not pick up pine needles well unless the needles themselves have been dethatched recently.

Proper setting for the sweeper is 1-2 inches above the dirt and best results are sweeping after the lawn has been dethatched. Things like acorns, grass clippings, juniper berries, , pine cones, pine needles and leaves should all be able to be picked up by the Brinly Lawn Sweeper given the correct height adjustment and a proper dethatching before sweeping.

Since the wheels drive the gears and the gears turn the brushes, going the right speed is imperative. Speeds in excess of 5 miles per hour and heavy leaf loads can strip the gears on your sweeper.

The STS-427LXH, Brinly Lawn Sweeper works best on grass clippings, leaves and pine straw, but yes, it can pick up your helicopters! This sweeper is equipped with a built-in windscreen that will help keep them in place while your sweeping!

Yes! Your Brinly Lawn Sweeper should be perfect for this job; however, portions of the cores may break and fall below the grass line or disintegrate. A spotless lawn without un-swept cores depends upon the soil condition of those cores and the speed & setting of your Brinly sweeper.

This unit cannot be used in reverse. Furthermore, extra care should be taken when backing up. The hamper will obscure obstacles, and hitch system is at risk of jackknifing when moving reverse.

If your brushes are wearing down quickly and coming off, then it is likely that the brushes are set too low or that the grass is too high. For best use, we recommend setting the brushes 1-2” off of the ground. If your grass is 3 inches or taller this may impact the efficiency of the sweeper brushes. However, this depends on what you are attempting to sweep. Please refer to the setting sticker on your unit to accurately place your brush arms.

Unfortunately, Brinly does not make a full wind screen. If material is flying over the top of your hamper/bag you should slow down. Since the gears have a 5:1 ratio, you should not be driving in speeds excess of 5 miles per hour where debris flies up and over the top.
