Brinly unveils innovative Dethatcher for Zero Turn Mowers

Brinly Zero Turn Dethatcher(March 10, 2015, Jeffersonville, IN) – Brinly-Hardy Company, 175-year-old manufacturer of high-quality lawn and garden equipment, announced the release of its innovative new 48” front-mount dethatcher for zero turn radius (ZTR) mowers today.  A leading manufacturer of tow-behind lawn and garden tractor attachments since the early 1960’s, the new release marks the company’s entry into ZTR-optimized lawn care attachments.

Zero turn radius mowers have experienced rapid growth in recent years, enabling users to maintain their lawns more quickly than ever before.  The new Brinly zero turn dethatcher leverages the speed and maneuverability of ZTR mowers by being mounted on the front of the machine as opposed to trailing behind, which gives users greater control over the attachment.  By moving the dethatcher to the front of the unit, users can now extract thatch and either mulch or collect it in a single pass, eliminating the wasted time of additional passes needed with tow-behind units.

Featuring a patent-pending single bolt design, the attachment clamps onto a wide range of mower makes and models in less than a minute.  Director of Marketing Jennifer Thompson commented, “We’re excited to be able to extend our long heritage of innovation with the release of the DTZ-48BH, giving consumers and landscape contractors alike a viable solution for dethatching using the mowers they already own.  We’re proud to say that we’ve incorporated the durability that the Brinly brand has been built upon into a cutting edge product that embodies the future of the lawn mower attachment category.”

At only $339, the DTZ-48BH is over a hundred dollars less expensive than the next closest competitor.  Order yours today on HomeDepot.com

Same comment/question as Frank. my model number is Toro SS5425. Will you have a 54″ version available soon?

    • Brinly Hardy says:

      Hi Frank & Brad,
I believe that the DTZ-48BH will fit both of your mowers, but you will need to measure the distance between your casters to be certain. As long as the distance between the caster wheels is between 24.5 and 37.5 inches, it will fit. There is a diagram on the product page on Brinly.com, just click the button labeled “ZTR Fit” underneath the image at the top right of the page. Let me know if you have any other questions.

      Thanks,
      Brad

Will this front mounted dethatcher fit my Toro time cutter Z5035 Zero turn mower 50″ deck and how long would it take to have it delivered to Thunder Bay, Ontario Canada. We also have a Home Depot here in the city if delivery could be arranged through them!

    Thank you for your help!!
